Lead Concrete Crews on High-Impact Projects in a Booming Market
Techno Hard Surfaces is on the rise — and we’re looking for a skilled, hands-on Foreman to lead our concrete crews on large-scale commercial and industrial projects across Nova Scotia.
This isn’t your average concrete company. Our team culture is positive, collaborative, and energetic. We work hard, support one another, and take pride in doing top-quality work with professionalism and precision. If you're a seasoned concrete pro who wants to take on more responsibility — and you’re ready to lead with integrity, safety, and skill — this might be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
What You’ll Do:
Lead concrete crews on commercial and industrial job sites
Ensure concrete is placed, finished, and cured to spec and schedule
Operate, maintain, and oversee use of high-end concrete equipment
Communicate daily with supervisors, site leads, and other trades
Enforce safety protocols and promote a positive, respectful site culture
Review, implement, and maintain new and existing safety protocols when needed to ensure team safety at all times
Train and mentor junior workers and apprentices
Take ownership of quality and timelines on every job
What You’ll Get:
Competitive compensation and overtime opportunities
8% vacation pay — equivalent to 4 paid weeks off, added directly to your pay
Union-rate benefits, including health, dental, and pension
Year-round work on major projects with high-end equipment
Relocation support for qualified candidates moving to Halifax
A supportive, tight-knit team where your contributions matter
A chance to advance with a growing company in a booming market
What We’re Looking For:
3–5+ years of hands-on concrete experience (slabs, polished floors, finishing, etc.)
At least 1–2 years of experience leading or managing crews on site
Strong understanding of concrete materials, equipment, and processes
Confidence in reading and interpreting site plans and specifications
Confidence to maintain a safe work environment for all employees
Excellent communication and leadership skills
A strong work ethic and high standards for quality and safety
Someone who can lead by example — calm under pressure, steady, and focused
External Factors/Health & Safety:
Seasonal weather is a factor in the completion of the duties. Safety hazards can be but are not limited to loud noise, seasonal temperature extremes, precipitation, heavy lifting, exposure to chemicals and electrical equipment. We value our team and as such, creating a safe environment is a key factor in our hiring practices. You will be expected to understand, implement, and follow safety protocols in all areas of your role.
